Pronounced mi-sue-HEE-kay, this Japanese paper cording has it's roots in ancient Japan as a decoration for packages and braiding. The name comes from the words "mizu" (water) and "hiki" (pull), originating from the comparision of the cords to the beauty of flowers blossoms pulled and tossed into a river to float downstream.
